CTER Is Getting an Upgrade

The Career and Technical Education Research journal submission and review portal is temporarily unavailable while we migrate to a new server. We expect to be back online shortly.

See below for additional details.

No content, submissions, or data will be lost during this transition.

What's happening

We are moving the CTER website to a new hosting environment to improve reliability, performance, and long-term sustainability of the journal's online presence. Our technical team is working to complete this transition as quickly as possible. During this window, the site is unavailable, but all journal content and submission records are secure.

Frequently Asked Questions

I received an acceptance notification for my article. Will this impact my publication?

It will not. All articles with current acceptance notifications are currently working through the final publication processing pipeline. These articles will be published within the 2026 Volume 51, assuming all publication agreements and final copyedits/proofs have been received.

Will my manuscript submission be affected?

No. All submissions received prior to the migration have been preserved. If you submitted a manuscript recently and have concerns, you can reach the editorial team directly at cter.journal@gmail.com.

Will previously published articles still be accessible?

Published articles remain fully accessible during the downtime. Please visit https://www.ingentaconnect.com/content/acter/cter.

I'm a reviewer with a pending assignment. What should I do?

Your assignment is on record and has not been lost. Please hold until the site is back online. If your review deadline falls within this window, the editorial team will be in touch — or you can proactively reach out at katie.holm@athens.edu.

I'm an editorial board member. Is there anything I need to do?

No action is needed on your part. Board-related communications will continue through email as usual during the transition.

I want to submit an article, what do I do?

Give us just a bit of time. We are working on the transition as quickly as we can and will be back up and running as soon as possible. Please note, we are currently reviewing articles for the final issue of 2026 and into 2027 at this time.

How will I know when the site is back?

We will send a notification to all registered users when the site is restored. You can also check back at this page — it will be replaced by the full site once migration is complete.
